Mrs. LaKitsha Lee – Director
Mrs. LaKitsha Lee (formerly LaKitsha Proctor) got her start in childcare at the Neighborhood Christian Learning Center of Dallas, giving her over 12 years of experience. Her favorite aspect of childcare is the fact that as caregivers you are able to plant seeds into children that will help them grow and blossom into greatness. She feels that this opportunity gives her the chance to help the “world go ‘round”. In addition to her director’s credentials, she also holds her CDA. She is also a member of Educational First Steps Touch Points Advisory Committee, as well as other childcare organizations which include: NAEYC, DAEYC, TAEYC and SECA. Future educational goals that she hopes to pursue are obtaining her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. On a personal note, she was married this fall and became the “First Lady” of Holy Temple COGIC. She also served as the Youth Pastor for 5 years in her home church, The Neighborhood House of Prayer, where her father, Eld. C.R. Proctor is the pastor. She loves the children and youth and hopes that through her work and giving within her church and the community, that someone’s life will be touched and inspired to change and move in a positive direction. In closing, her favorite quote is one by Henry Brooks Adams and it says, “A teacher affects eternity, he can never tell where his influence stops.”
Ms. Rachel Proctor – Administrator
Ms. Rachel Proctor also got her start in childcare at the Neighborhood Christian Learning Center of Dallas. Having had the opportunity to work with every age group and every facet within the center over the years, she finally found her niche in Administration. So, after high school, Rachel pursued a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus in Childcare Administration and obtained it in the Fall of 2003 from the University of Texas at Arlington. Through her tenure at the University she became a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and is still active in the Xi Theta Omega Chapter, as well as many other community outreach programs. Her favorite aspect of childcare is the interaction with the child and caregivers and having the first hand opportunity to watch the children’s personalities grow and develop. On a personal note, Rachel currently serves as the Praise and Worship Leader and the Church Administrator for the Neighborhood House of Prayer Church. Rachel is also a part of the Education Ministry at her church and serves weekly as a Bible Study Instructor. Desiring to grow as a teacher and minister of God’s Word, Rachel is currently pursuing her Masters in Divinity at Southwestern Assemblies of God in Waxahachie, TX.
