The NCLCD Students also enjoyed a surprise visit to the center from Chuck E. Cheese himself after classes had ended for the day.  Students got a chance to meet Chuckee and they even got a chance to show their fancy footwork as they did the “Cha-Cha Slide” with Chuckee before he left!!

We celebrated Education thoughout the day on August 29, 2011 with fun activities as the staff and students got things rolling for the new school year. Later that afternoon we celebrated our “TEAMMATES” better known as the fantastic parents that help make NCLCD what it is today. We had hot dogs, chips and drinks as we capped off a wonderful day. NCLCD Students apply what they learned!

Money matters and Neighborhood Credit Union Banking Representative, Charlotte Simms, showed our summer camp participants how! Ms. Simms taught SAVINGS 101 to eager students by showing them how to earn and save. In the session, Ms. Simms showed the students how to set spending goals for items they wanted to buy and students even had the chance to earn and spend pretend cash!
